Capacitor release device
Capacitor trip units provide a simple means of storing electrical energy for the operation of a circuit breaker. They can be used in all applications where a charger or battery would otherwise be required to trip the circuit breaker.
Our capacitor trip units consist of a capacitor bank and a charging circuit. The current state of charge of the capacitors can be tested using a test button on the front. If the voltage at the capacitors exceeds the respective model-dependent release voltage (110 or 280 VDC), the green control lamp lights up when the test button is pressed. As long as the charging voltage is below the trigger voltage, the control lamp remains dark
